The first thing I knew I wanted to do from the moment we found out we were pregnant, was to have a maternity session! With the move to the West Coast happening so recently and our lives feeling like it was all over the place, we weren’t sure if it was going to happen. Though it took a bit of searching, we’re so happy we found Taylor Kinzie Photography (on Pinterest, actually)! We asked for light, airy, sweet, and in a setting with rolling hills - she totally delivered on this! We're obsessed with how the photos turned out!
I love that we got to capture our first few months in California as a family this way. I'll get to show Rho how we looked when she was still in my belly and how much we adored her even before she was born. Every milestone we hit, every trimester we reached and even seeing those strange fruit comparisons each week during this journey was special. Though I'm grateful to not know this experience myself, I'm well aware that pregnancy doesn't guarantee you a baby to bring home at the end. Ian and I have not taken any part of this full-term pregnancy for granted and we've had such a blast along the way. I couldn't have asked for anything more!
*Praise for no morning sickness and good news at every prenatal visit!*
Carrying another human is a beautiful balance of hard work and having grace for yourself, especially through the uncertainties and those body changes! I'm still learning to embrace them but as I write this at 6 weeks postpartum, it is all SO worth it.
